This is a gang.Street code applies. The chain is your flag now.
Join Chain Gang

The Object

A gold chain with a gold lock and a gold key.

⛓

The Chain

The commitment. I'm out.

🔒

The Lock

The timeline. GPS tracker inside. Ticker displays days held. Waterproof. Unhackable. Sovereign: Daniel sees the coordinates, no one else does.

🗝

The Key

Locked inside the lock. Unlocks once, on the day count milestone tied to their 18th birthday. Opens a physical lockbox at the bank branch nearest them, their choice. That's the cash. That's the ceremony.

Once the lock opens, it's open. They don't go back to being under 18. The chain is theirs to keep, pawn, or wear forever. If they keep wearing it after 18, everyone knows they graduated. They're an OG now.

The Three Rules

1
Loyalty, loyalty, loyalty.

You're in Chain Gang. You don't claim another set, another neighborhood, another gang. No hood hopping.

2
Don't get your chain snatched.

Mind your business. Do what you're supposed to do.

3
If your chain gets snatched, come straight to me.

I approve the replacement, paid from my royalties.

The Hierarchy

Youth

Under 18, in the program, earning their key.

G

18 or over, still in the Chain Gang, been through it. Elder. Living proof.

OG

Me, Daniel B. McKay. I invented it. Day 1 was always Day 1. 6,321 days held.

OGs (adults who graduated) run the program for the next generation. They wore the chain, hit 18, unlocked their trust fund. Now they oversee nominations, verify donors, manage kids in the program. They're made men now.

How It Works

01
Join or be nominated

No account required. Opt in yourself (13+) or be nominated. Under 13 requires a nominator (parent/guardian, COPPA compliance).

02
Chain, lock, and key ship once

Same chain forever unless provably gone. This is not a subscription; it's a commitment.

03
Submit a weekly photo

Wearing the chain, ticker visible, to keep the fund active. 3 pauses maximum per year.

04
Hit 18: unlock the lockbox

Cash printed and placed in a physical lockbox at the nearest bank you choose. You go get it with your key on your birthday. That's the ceremony.

Weekly Photo Compliance

Miss a week. Here's what happens.

Miss 1
Buy: nothing happens.
Miss 2
Fund pauses: no new donations come in.
Miss 3
Buy: second chance.
Miss 4
Fund resets to zero. Ticker resets to Day 1. Funds distributed evenly to all active trust funds.

After 3 pauses used in a year, the next miss rolls straight to Week 3 → Week 4 consequences. No more free weeks. Fund resets split evenly across all active trust funds. Lock stays locked. Same chain.

The Fund

  • Funded by Daniel's music royalties (Eighty Nine Vision), primary source.
  • Other artists on Equality Music may opt in, their choice, never forced.
  • Anonymous donors can give directly to a specific kid's trust fund: they see the photo and story, no name, no identifying info.
  • Nominators can be public or anonymous: if public, they can be celebrated on the platform.
  • Resets split evenly across all active trust funds.
  • Unlocks on the 18th birthday: cash in a physical lockbox at their chosen bank branch.
  • Honor system: no policing, no reporting. Self-governed.

Legal structure: UTMA (Uniform Transfers to Minors Act), assets transfer to beneficiary at 18. No contribution limits. Custodian manages until unlock.

The game is being a person in society. That's the lesson. That's the program.

The Map

Every chain tracked in real time via GPS in the lock. Daniel sees every chain, every location, every kid.

Chain stopped moving: check on the kid.
Chain crosses state lines: flag it.
Coordinates are sovereign: visible to Daniel only.
Not surveillance. Safety net.

The Doctrine

Chain stays on the streets, pre-incarceration.

Coin goes into recovery house.

Same tree. Different branch. Both gold.

From the dirt to the gold.

The Need

  • ~750,000–1,000,000 youth gang members in the US
  • ~30,000+ active gangs nationwide
  • ~40% of gang members are under 18
  • Average age to join: 13
  • Most kids stay 1–2 years; fewer than 1 in 10 stay 4+ years
  • Chain Gang is the alternative for the 400,000+ teens who join gangs every year
The trinity: gold chain, lock, and key

Join The Chain Gang

No account required. No hood. Just the chain, the lock, and the key.

Concept stage: full build coming.

Loyalty.Loyalty.Loyalty.
